good shooter and chase game it even tells you how to play with little hints it just alittle slow loding but all gamescant be fast uh

I would've given it 5 but GTA was already working on Vice City when this came out so they weren't the first and definitely won't be the last of this genre of game. The game itself is just about perfect, I'm not sure why the reviews weren't all that great for it. The physics of the cars make far more sense than driving in the GTA games. (For example: when a tire goes flat the car slows and veers to that side while driving, head-on collisions make the car slow and eventually catch fire after 1 too many collisions, the police have far superior AI than those in GTA--when holding a hostage they automatically put their hands up to try and get you to work with them don't turn your back to them though or you'll either get pistol whipped or shot since they have a clean shot of your backside, there are many other examples too... just play to find out for yourself.) Basically, compared to GTA (3 or Vice City or even San Andreas) The Getaway beats them all hands down. My advice if you currently own one or all of the GTA series: trade them in for The Getaway, you won't be dissappointed.

it seems to be pretty fun for the kids which are ages 7 and 10. easy to figure out how to play. seems to keep thier interest for quite awhile and was fun for me to watch.

for my grandson. He loves video games. There is nothing i dislike about the product. He has many other games and he says that this one is one of the funnest.

I bought the game for a friend of mine. It looked like something they would play and they loved it. It's one they didn't have. Lot of action.

I love these types of games but it is hard getting one that is easier to play! I could not get out of the first round in this game! I can't stand it when you are playing a game and you can't move on. Another negative, is you have to watch the storyline. This is very annoying. You cannot skip the storyline to play the game.

The only positive is it's very realistic driving. When you hit something, your car slows down and will actually smoke. If you mess a tire up, you feel the car veering.

Overall not recommeded, too hard to play!

This is just an under budget version of grand theft Auto. its a bit annoying that you can't jump through he story mode - but over all its an 'OK' one to own. But if your going for a Grand Theft Auto type of game, i would just suggest getting GTA instead.

i have this game before,but mi brother broken the game,when broken the game i sell mi ps2 whith all games,past few years and buy de ps3,always try finding this game in puerto rico and never find,i see the game in ebay and decide buy

The Getaway for PS2 is an "ok" game. The graphics are decent, but the game is a bit ridiculous in the beggining, the controls are a bit difficult and the driving isn't realistic.

Its a game that I had before, and enjoyed playing it a lot; but when I received I found out the game doesn't even work.I would think someone would have tested the game first to made sure it actually worked.

Great auction! Only problem is, I'm a collector and the PS2 case's front plastic was slit as well through the cover. Game was sealed though, perfect condition otherwise. If customs opened the package without regard for my item, it could have been them who damaged the product, but other than the case problem, everything was Grade A! Excellent Store, Excellent Quality!

When I tried to play the game on a non chipped PlayStation2 it did not work. It worked on a non original PlayStation2.

i love the original but i hate it the sequel because the gameplay and graphic are buggy as the game is and the seller gave the wrong one

This is the best game i have ever played. Even though it is not the best as in the way it was created, it brings out the challenge in you. This game is just too hard and that is why i love it.The "British gand theft auto"
