Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (DVD, 2009)

This movie is the best! The fist two were good. This is the third. I have never seen a third in a series this good.

The movies is funny, entertaining and easy to follow. The most important thing (to me) about this movie, is that it carries the message of caring for others and what the true meaning of friendship really is all about.

The movie was mailed promptly and the seller responded quickly when I had a question. I was very happy with the customer service.

I have the first 2 movies and wanted this one also, even though I hadn't seen it before I bought it. I knew I would love it and I wasn't wrong. I think this is the best of the three. There's nothing I didn't dislike about it. It's makes me laugh, I love the characters, Buck the weasel is hilarious. Manny says "when did you become crazy" buck says "3 months ago... I woke up married to a pineapple, an UGLY pineapple, yeah but I loved her." "What's that sound?" Buck-"the wind, it's speaking to us" "what's it saying?" Buck-"I don't know, I don't speak wind!" Hilarious.

I had good service. My kids LOVE this movie tho they havent actually watched the DVD I bought. We saw it in theaters first. They will be getting the DVD for Christmas.

I love the characters in all the Ice Age movies. Scrat was his usual funny self chasing after his acorn even when the female showed up. Sid as a Mommy was precious.

I bought this for my kids and they love it! It is their favorite of the Ice Age movies! It was definitely the funniest of the three movies!!

I love this dvd, I bought it because A friend told me how funny it was and every now and then I need a good laugh. Because I watch some many action pack movies and this was well worth the pay and one of the funniest dvd I've ever purchase. I wish I could find some more like this one.

I am partial to animation, and I liked the movie. I have enjoyed all of the Ice Age series. I have this for my grandchildren to view as well, and so it is a great addition to my personal library.

I have the other movies and I love them all. I enjoy watching them with my children. They are funny and cute to watch.

This time around, Manny and Ellie are expecting a baby mammoth, something that leads to unexpected responses from Diego and Sid. When Sid decides to become a parent himself in return, he steals three giant eggs he accidentally bumps into, only to later realize they're dinosaur eggs that belong to a pretty angry mother.

One of the funniest moments in the film is when Sid tries to milk this ancient cow but soon finds out that the cow is not female.

When mother-dinosaur kidnaps Sid, it's up to Manny and friends to return him home safely. Adventure and excitement ensue as they find out that underneath their icy world lives a land filled with enormous and sometimes menacing dinosaurs, one which our friends would need to cross in order to rescue Sid.

Even though we all should all be fully aware that the age of the dinosaur died off millions of years before animals such as the woolly mammoth and saber-toothed tiger appeared, we have to realize that the two periods have merged together in this film. This happens to be explained in the film since the story points out that the new find of the underground cavern harbors a taste of all the special dinosaurs that have managed to survive underground since their extinction. The mammals probably didn't even know about all of these creatures before.

An Ankylosaurus (large herbivore with an armoured back and tail club) is shown attacking the main characters when they first enter the dinosaur world. Even though the dinosaur is a bit over-exaggerated, it adds a bit of excitement to the film. Although some will wrongly think that the dinosaur is portrayed here as a carnivore, it is more likely that it attacked the group because it felt threatened by them, like a modern rhino.

Scrat is still on the hunt to hold onto his beloved acorn, while finding a possible romance in a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte. Manny and Ellie, having since become an item, are expecting a baby, which leaves Manny anxious to ensure that everything is perfect for when his baby arrives. Diego is fed up with being treated like a house-cat and ponders the notion that he is becoming too laid-back. Sid begins to wish for a family of his own, and so steals some dinosaur eggs which leads to Sid ending up in a strange underground world where his herd must rescue him, while dodging dinosaurs and facing danger left and right, and meeting up with a one-eyed weasle known as Buck who hunts dinosaurs intently.

Buck (Simon Pegg) is a fantastic new addition to the franchise, a looney tune hermit weasle who joins the herd around half way. When he enters the scene, the whole movie shifts up a gear! Some of the stuff he comes out with will have you rolling in the isle! If you have the chance, you must see it in 3D! It's amazing how a new version of such outdated technology can take you even deeper into a film. The chases are more exciting, the locations more real, it works so well, it doesn't give you a migraine!

Dawn of the Dinosaurs sports some great visuals, sweeping landscapes, and phenomenal character design. Everything looks and sounds just as it should. The film spots some fantastic voice acting most prominently from Pegg. What trips them up is the lazy dialogue, as much as the trailer tried to deviate away from it, Buck is the focal point of the movie, he's in 80% of it and does a great job in every scene. It's just a shame that by doing this they pushed the rest of the cast to the rear.

It's a great kids' movie. The story ine is cute and my children love it. WE have rented the moveie in the past and I keep getting asked to see it again, so I thought I'd better purchase it. It will get watched many times, I'm sure. It's similar to the other Ice Age movies, but anything with dinos is always a hit!

Great continuation of the series. Liked it alot better than MELTDOWN. Seemed to have more of a story line. Think scrat should have his own show. Fun addition to my animation collection & completes my "ICE AGE" series.

I paid for the item and never got it. The seller closed his e-bay account. I have filed two complaints and have yet to be reimbursed for this.

original sale ok, but I made an error having just moved & not remembering to change my bank information. I accept my part in the transaction. Then the trouble began....I had to cancel the order but the refund too over 1 month to happen. I received an email from the seller stating that he sent the refund but paypal had no record. It took at least another 2 weeks to finally get the refund. I would think twice before another purchase.

I bought the movie for my grandchildren, however, I decided to watch it before I gave it to them...I found the sound and story to be excellent for kids and adults. The animation and voices were so funny....The species of dinosaurs were very true to what they looked like and how some were meat eaters and others ate only plants.
Loved the movie.
