Out of Time (DVD, 2004)

People expect more out of Denzel Washington after he won his Oscar for Training Day. Where he played yet another bad cop. The ONLY thing that these two movies had in common. This is not one of his best performances. The screenwriting didn't help him either. It is obvious that this was the screenwriter's first big movies. It left a lot to be desired. One of the few highlights of the movie was the view.... Eva Mendes!

I was watching this movie on tv when I lost power with 20 minutes left so I bought it & it's a great movie & if u like a twist this is the one to watch..

First of all I like anything I have seen Denzel Washington in. He is a great actor and very adaptive just as he was in this movie. I had seen it before but couldn't remember what happens so I was as much on the edge of my seat as I was the first time. This is a must especially for anyone who is a Denzel fan but I think others would like it just the same.

This is a very suspenseful movie!!!! It will capture your eyes and leave you breathless. Denzel and Mendes did an excellent job and work great together!!!!

i really liked this movie.. it was a thinking movie with a lot of good action. also with the twists and turns it always had you thinking. thankfully all the twist and turns made sense in the end.

Denzel plays a chief of police in a small Florida town. He pretty much has everything under control..except for his love life. He gets involved with a married women and then the plot twists and turns.
With missing drug money, a murder, and his ex-wife the lead detective on the case, Denzel has to stay one step ahead because all the evidence points to him.
Good entertainment....

I bought it, because it was filmed in familiar Florida places of which we are natives. We wanted to see the Florida settings more than the movie, however the movie and a cliff hanger that was very good.
Nothing to dislike, It was a good movie.

I never listen anything about this movie and it a shame because it is an excellent thriller. The cast is really good and the story crazy enough to be fun to watch.

Excellent acting by Denzel, as usual! Has a great cast, with well known people. Story line keeps you interested through the entire movie. Twists throughout keep you wondering whats going to happen next. A little crime, mixed with a love story.

this movie was really good speically with the twist in the end. usually any with densel in it is good so i recommened to watch it for sure.

I would say Denzel's part isn't bad cop like Training Day, but rather gullible or clueless. He risks his livelihood, as police chief, over an affair with a beautiful, yet manipulative married woman. He is in way too powerful of a position to risk it all on a whim and shouldn't have gotten whipped so easily and ;therefore, I said to myself when I was watching it, "what was he thinking?" He should have known better! Not only does he risk his job, but time in prison, if the feds find out he took the government's money(all for his secret lover) and if they ever catch up to him about the staged murders. There are alot of gullible people in the world and Denzel plays this part well! He has to use all his power, influence, and all the sneakiness in the world to narrowly avoid detection each time. Denzel is obviously the star, but this movie also has a loaded superstar supporting cast(each could star in their own movie). This movie is also a well written story, as their lives intertwine perfectly. You'll be surprised just what happens and just how many turmultuous situations Denzel has to overcome. I loved it!

I liked the movie. The quality was good. I received it promptly. I enjoyed the action it had. I look forward to seeing part 2.

This movie will have you on your feet. If you loved John Q, you will certainly love this film. I can usually guess what will happen in a film, but not this one, it had me at the edge of my bed. Denzel, Sanaa and Eva had me screaming =, you are sure to love this movie. I had seen a glimpse of this film, and new I had to but it.

Good Action We enjoyed this Movie, so after Renting this Movie we went to half.com and then Purchased the DVD on-line.

This a wonderful movie for all to see. It has a lot of drama that keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the movie. Denzel has done a wonderful job with his character and I have enjoyed watching the movie. Five thumbs up.

Denzel does a great job in this movie. the plot takes a very unexpected twist that will have you on the edge of your seat. and the ending is completly enexpected. just when you think you figured out the movie it changes on you. great story line and good amount of action and suspense. not very kid friendly.

I have not seen this movie in a while, which is why I bought it, but the first time I saw it, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Very good movie.

We rate Out of Time to be a very good movie. We have owned it for some time, and have watched it many times. We like to share it with others who havenet seen it, and most enjoy it after watching. It is suspenseful enough to keep you guessing throught the movie and offers several twists. Not so much of an action film, as it is a drama. If you like Denzel in all of his other films, you'll enjoy Out of Time. This movie would be most similar to his role in John Q.

It'll keep you guessing, right up until the end.
