A fairly typical Jean Claude Van-Damme movie as this time he stars as a
US Border Patrol Agent involved in an undercover operation to expose a
military Special Forces team that is smuggling drugs through the military
base that they operate from. A few Kung-fu and gun battles later, Van-Damme
overwhelms the Special Forces team and jails (or kills) them. Not alot of
suspense here folks, but good action and a good-but not great-movie to spend
time watching on a afternoon or night.

DVD staring Jean Claude Van Dam. Great action movie. The good guys "can't" get hurt and when they do they recover at light speed. The bad guys went to the Helen Keller school of marksmanship. Just mindless action after a hard day at the office.

  Quality Van Damme flick.

Among all the aging action stars of the 80s/90s, I think Van Damme has resisted the temptation of making a lot of paychecks at the expense of poor to average films. Van Damme, in my view, has only improved as an actor as his film budgets get lower. Most of these action stars struggle to make a role that is even comparable to their prime, let alone eclipse them.

The Sheperd is a good flick, and very entertaining. Well made, good supporting cast, and none of the production feel lacking. Van Damme does his martial arts here with some good fights that show he's still on the ball, and not resorting to stunt doubles in wigs...Steven Seagal, anyone? Van Damme also has some moments of humanity and more difficult acting, not many, but he's letting us get glimpses of some growing talent in him.

A good film that I can recomend. I don't imagine many people will see it and not be, at the least, satisfied for the 90 minutes they just spent. A must for Van Damme fans, and a recomended viewing for casual movie goers. Enjoy!

Good old fashioned Martial Arts movie

The Sheperd has to be the better(In terms of martial arts action)of Van Damme's movies in recent years. I still wish that he would head butt people and do the splits like he used too!! The plot is lacking in originality despit the fact that there arent many movies based on the border patrol. The cast besides van damme didnt leave any decent impressions and seem uninspired. The good thing though was that Van Damme finally got back in shape and is actually kicking people's butts around like in the peak of his heyday. If youre a fan of Van Damme you will absolutely like the restaurant fighting scene! It reminded me of the scene from Van Damme's Universal Soldiers scene in which he innocently just wants too eat!!!! Lol You will know what I mean! So if youre in the mood for some action and find a good deal here on ebay, its worth to buy, if not its a rental.

The movie is kinda dumb. It is rediculous and has nothing to do with how the Border Patrol accually is.

I like it for its realism and I like Jean too
I also like the bunny and most of all I like the places that they film in. I live in New Mexico and it is beautiful all over the state.
