Speed Dating by Nancy Warren (2007, Paperback)

Illogical, violating most of the rules of the romance genre, this is what would normally be the first one third of a story, actually only getting the characters to the point they realize how much they mean to each other and that they now are beginning to embark on a relationship.

Spoilers would include the simple fact that no one in the book resolves anything, they all wind up hung out to dry, without a conclusion, and the way the protagonist is treated is painfully shallow.

If you like NASCAR, don't like thinking too hard, and don't care about the story just as long as the "current page" sounds pretty good, then this one will suit you.
