Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360, 2008)

(From an OFFLINE perspective)
Pros:

*Completely destructible environment. Literally--EVERYTHING blows up.
*Very funny characters.
*Sound is amazing.
*Easy to get used to the controls.
*Doesn't use the "don't get hit for a while and regain your health approach". You give yourself a shot and it heals you.

Cons:

*Limited map and you die if you go out of the limits for a while.
*Sometimes the AI is almost too difficult, other times downright retarded.


If you have a lot of time to play this game for a couple days, just rent it. You can easily beat this game in one or two days if you try real hard. Great game, just pretty short.

I am a vetrian of Call of Duty series which I really enjoyed and felt the guys at COD really got it right, that is until I tried Battlefied: Bad Company.
Some of the items I wished COD would incorperate was access to buildings and vehicles. COD does allow some of these features, but Battlefied, in my opion, took it to the next level. This is a plus feature to me.
Ease of controlls was easy to pick up on. If you are used to COD controlls you will like Battlefield.
Anothe nice feature of Battelfield is you can move around the operating area to vary your attacks. While COD allowed these feature with limits, Battlefield appeared to be far more flexiable in this arena.
The dialog is short but to the point battlefield, COD is based on history, there dialog sessions were long and tiresome after the first time through.
Another thing I like about Battlefied is you can deviate anytime on a coarse of direction without warnings. COD wants you tight with the group while Battlefied follows your lead.
Potato /patato both games are fun and enjoyable and I will buy the next verision they offer. If you like the COD series, chances are good you will like Battlefield: Bad Company just as much, but in a different way.

Fun FPS game, some hilarious cut scenes. Mix in the fact that you get tons of different vehicles and good online action you cant go wrong. While being on foot it is not as nice as call of duty, the vehicles and mounted weapons overcome this.

This is a solid first person shooter. Whether you plan to only play offline or online you will have a lot of fun.
The graphics looks great, the controls are very easy to grasp.
The sounds are also very well done, whether it's bullets whizzing past, or a tank riding nearby, they paid attention to the details very good.
While playing, most everything in the environment is destroyable, which adds a lot of fun into the game. There is a vast assortment of weapons, many different vehicles including a helicopter.
For the multiplayer-
You can't be in a match already and invite your friends to the game, or else they could be put in a different squad, or on the other team. You have to be at the main screen to form your own squad.
The games comes with only one online mode of gold rush, but there is a FREE download for both another game mode, Territory (Capture the flag), as well as a FREE map pack download with a few more maps.
The maps on the game are very large, so there is a lot of room to move around.
When talking through the headset you will only be talking to those in your own squad. Though from my experience, not many people talk on the game anyways.
You rank up through the levels, and as you do you are given unlocks, to get get different guns or accessories of your choice. You can also find codes online, that were given out to get yourself a few more guns.

This game is not called Call of Duty, so don't compare it to it. That series was designed purely for online play which is why the options are much more vast on that game.

This is a very fun game in itself, that has a humorous single player while, and a very fun multiplayer. Generally the game is around 20-30 dollars and is a steal of a game for how much enjoyment you will have.

Bought the game after playing the demo on Xbox Live. Love the game and realistic aspect it brings. Being able to blow up anything is great and sold me on the game. I was a huge Call of Duty 4 player and now this has taken its place. Highly Recommend!!!

I honestly needed to give this game five stars for several reasons.
1. The destructible environments are a fantastic break from linear non-breakable objects because it feels like it moves the action THROUGH the level rather than just AROUND it. If you like COD4, you'll probably have to get over a steep learning curve but it makes it all worth it.

2. Actually teaming up! One man tags an enemy building or tank and another teammate fires a sensor guided RPG from a different location ultimately destroying whatever has been tagged.

I could go on and on but those are my favorites! 5 Stars!

This is a very fun game. The single player mode is fun and the story is unlike any other game out there. The online multi-player is very good. They did a great job with this game, I highly recommend it!

This game is great I really like the fact that you can destroy walls in buildings to hit your attackers. The graphix are excellent and you can drive different vehicles ( I like to park outside the town and lay waste to everything before I go in for the kill. Your sqaud mates are hilarious they play paer rock scissors and smack each other around.

After playing Call of Duty 4, I have to say I like this game much better. It allows you to drive tanks and boats, fly helicoptors, and command jeeps. Many more options for game play. This game is awesome!!!

If you like Call of Duty you well love this game.....massive online play, vehicles....everything you need for a great gaming experience.

The game is a wonderful example of good programing. The gameplay is great. The balance between cover and building destruction is a little weighted to cover, so the AI can't bombard you to death like mercenaries.

This game has some of the most addicting multiplayer action since Halo 3,Call of Duty 4, and Gears of War. The gameplay is as realistic as they come (more so than even CoD4...trust me on that),as you are faced with many beautifully detailed maps that are absolutely gigantic. Everything is destructible...and everything is drivable...making for an intense multiplayer experience that any avid first person shooter fan should pick up. There is also a quite enjoyable single player campaign that even further shows off the games huge levels and beautiful graphics...and also introduces you to some really funny squad members that keep you laughing as you go AWAL to collect millions in mercenary gold. Great game!

This game is great, the sound is amazing but if you're looking for something really new I don't think this is it. But hey, we shooting games fans just care about new scenarios and new adventures right?!

Single Player: The single player introduces to you all the aspects of the game, but is not very difficult, and is very short. If you get hurt you can easily heal yourself as long as you don't get shot at. The main focus is the multiplayer.

Multiplayer: The game is pulled together by this. You are squaded up as to encourage teamwork which is what happens. There is now two different game modes Gold Rush, and Conquest. Both of which will keep you entertained for days.

On the website you can also see loads of stats from every bullet you fired, to how many times you ran someone over with a helicopter.

I love shooter style games as well as war games, i also like games that have humor. I really dont know how to express how satisfied I am with this game it is fun and exciting to play as well it is very funny. Battlefield bad company was quite an experience to be play first i want to start off by saying that the destruction engine this game uses is quite amazing and gives the game a sense of realism as well as helps you destroy,find,enter enemy bases etc. so the single player in this was very addictive with its funny and war torn story line and throughout most of the single player campaign there really isn't a way you cannot take in getting by the mission by destroying and making your own path to victory.which makes this game extremely fun as well as enjoyable and addictive.multiplayer is even more of an addictive and fun experience and once again there isn't a wrong way to take down your opponents in the game thanks to the destructible environment's.there are two online game modes which doesn't seem like a lot but its worth it.you have gold rush mode in which you either begin as the defender or the attackers,being a defender in "gold rush" you start off on a area were you are put up to defending a (metal or steel lol i don't know)box.to defend this box it can be shot at set charged or blown up in any fashion from what iv seen.Your job is to protect that from happening.As a defender destroying the opposing team and reducing there respawn count which i believe stands out as a red bar on the top of the screen so keep and eye on that because if you reduce that before they destroy the boxes or not at all the game ends and you and your team is victorious.its vice versa for attackers I really don't need to explain.now the other game mode is conquest mode from the start this needs to be downloaded from the xbox live its free so don't be upset!with "conquest" mode just like battlefield 1943 you and your team need hold battlefield positions marked with flags and reduce the opponents bar (again) to nothing very fun...be creative when I play what I do is defend the base from the bush or in the shadows of an attic but beware sometimes when playing your cover will be blown when either the window you looking through is reduced to nothing and your forced to hide again or death. all and all battlefield bad company is quite and experience there are vehicles to be in some that can be piloted by multiple people(s)and others that can be used to defend bases which I can't say everything don't want to spoil it so here is my review hope that it helps.

An awesome game with great sound and a pleasing destruction engine. Single player is humorous but multi-player is what it's at. Bad Company 2 is going to top this game in almost every way, but BC1 is still good in it's own right.
