LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Xbox 360, 2006)

I love this game and I am 37. My girls love it too. Ages 6 and 8. This game is comical and fun. It follows the last three episodes to a T. If you like humor with your Legos, and excellent graphics, sound and re-play ability, this is the game for you. Just a side note, the original Lego Star Wars will play on the 360, and it is fun too!!!

the first lego star wars was considered by most reviewers to be a great game,the main problem was the game was to short lasting less then 10 hours.
in the sequel that problem hase been addressed now the game is at least 3 times longer,then the first.
this game is a lot of fun for any star wars fan the game covers the first 3 movies in just about every detail.(there's nothing like beating the lego darth vader in a lightsaber duel),it's really a lot of fun.
i would recommend this game for anyone who likes star wars or any fan of adventure games.

Expect the same gameplay as the first trilogy except with different characters and the classic trilogy plot. That detail alone makes it more appealing than the last one. And you still get to play as Darth Maul and other characters if you want by way of the create a character machine. Graphics are not a major improvement on the 360. In fact I can't see much difference at all besides my HD clarity. Collecting Lego pieces can be repetitive and getting shot is no picnic either. And the stormtroopers just never stop coming for some reason. Controls are solid on-foot but vehicles are not so fun even though they should be. They usually feel like they are taking up to much of the screen and you always end up hitting your group members with them. At least they respawn. Co-op multiplayer makes the game worth playing over with a friend or your children. You can play through or just decide to fight each other. You usually end up hitting each other a lot anyway just because of controls. But it is a fun game. Must have for Star Wars or Lego fans. Everyone else should Rent before you Buy. 4/5

Both me and my nephew love this game. It's pretty simple. No gore! The characters break when "killed". My nephew is 5 and while he sometimes needs reminders to build things he can work all the controls, switch players, etc... He enjoys it and when I can I try to steal the controller so I can play. I love it to at 30!

Great game for all ages, buy it and the recipent young or old will adore it. Great gameplay and fun without the graohic vilence 5 out of 5!

I am not a big video game person but this game was so much fun. The controls are easy to learn so beginners should have no problem but there is also plenty to do if want to get 100% in the game which should be challenging for the hard core gamers. The story follows the Star Wars story pretty closely but with some added humor. The only negative I would say if I had to put something is that it throws you right into the game in the very beginning which made things a bit confusing at first. Once you get the hang of it you wont be able to stop playing.

I've never played the Lego games series, and this was the first one I tried. It's actually a lot of fun! The puzzles using your many different classes of characters (Jedi, Droids, Blaster People, Stormtroopers, etc) are actually quite unique and effective. The graphics on the 360 is excellent and the controls are spot on perfect. The nostalgic element of playing Star Wars makes me want to go watch the movie again. Lots of jokes and "violence" is at worst a bunch of Lego pieces falling apart.

There's something in it for adults and kids. My 3 year old loves watching me play this game. Great game, you must try it.

Not until now has a Star Wars game taken such an irreverent stance and captured the playful spirit of that far away galaxy. Despite being skewed toward youngsters, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game offers some exceptionally fun gameplay that will appeal to fans no matter what their age.

Use the Force, O-Blocky-One
Taking its storyline cues straight from the prequels, gamers are immediately thrust into action at the beginning of The Phantom Menace, at which point the space coaster ride takes off and doesn't end until the final act of Revenge of the Sith. Each film is broken down into a series of chapters representing their most exciting segments. Throughout each chapter, players encounter a number of enemies to dispose of, such as battle droids and droidekas, and boss characters like Darth Maul and Jango Fett, in both ground and air combat. Players are also tasked with solving a myriad of engaging, yet fairly simple puzzles. While progressing through the game, players will unlock new characters (more than 30 in all) whose abilities and gear will aid in replaying areas to solve previously unsolvable puzzles and accessing new areas, which helps add a bit replay value. The gameplay isn't going to challenge hardcore gamers as the enemies simply aren't that tough, but the presentation really shines. Traveler's Tales has done an outstanding job making LEGO Star Wars look and sound great. The character models expertly resemble like their real-life blocky counterparts, yet move with fluidity and grace despite their stiff-looking stature. And although there's a lack of voice acting, the sound effects and music are simply spot on. The controls handle favorably well, however, the lack of a moveable in-game camera provides for a little frustration--especially when navigating narrow precipices or jumping to and from certain platforms.

Little Jedi, Big Lightsaber
For parents out there looking for a great kids' game or for fans who are simply looking for a fun little adventure, LEGO Star Wars is the game to get. Its combination of lighthearted gameplay, wealth of unlockable characters, and excellent presentation make it an easy recommendation.

I LOVED playing this game. i bought it as a gift for my boyfriend. and while testing out that it was playable (b/c it was used off ebay), i could not put it down! it is hilarious, too. but you seriously will be amazed at how fun shooting up lego into pieces, building legos speedy fast, listening to them talk and draw their weapons, is CRAZY FUN! i am 26, hate the star wars movies, but this game rocked! at least rent it just to see what im talking about.

This game is a combination of family and kids fun but it mixes the creativity of Legos. I would strongly recommend this game for any parent. The game is hours of fun with good replay value without the worry of violence and adult content.

I bought this game for my wife who does not like to play video games at all. To my surprise she could not put it down. The characters are intertaining and the story line is not to simple, but hard enough to make it fun for beginning players. I would definitaly recommend this game for younger children, or for older people who are big gamers. I played it as well and it was fun to beat. Not very challenging though. I did enjoy the game though. I would definitly purchase again.

I rented this game 3 times for my wife, before finally just going out to buy this game. Initially I rented it to play for myself, but then she started playing it more than me. This game is very addicting and worth every penny I spent on it. The graphics are very good and captures exactly what the game is supposed to be a Lego world. The game play is Excellent I mean the best I think since they make it so simple that it enhances the game play. The sound is also great it’s as though they took the Star Wars sound effects soundtrack and threw it in the game. Believe me when I say they present this game to the best of their ability. Don't make a mistake like me by renting this game and throwing away money go out and buy this one and spend days playing this with a friend or by yourself. And then when you think your done check your achievements and see you got a long way to go. Have Fun....

This is such a fun game for kids or adults I am 26! The graphics are amazing. This game is great it's no major violence and follows the star wars storyline. you can do some many cool things with so many different star wars characters.

This game was excellent. It was my first "Lego's" game and was very fun to play. It was very easy to learn and the puzzles were fun. The cut scenes were awesome and extremely funny. It was a blast to see how they were going to get non-talking Lego's to act out some of the famous Star Wars scenes, and they pulled it off great.

My 5 year old nephew and I spent 5 hours on the game the first time we opened the box. It's a great game, easy to learn, not too frustrating with lots of puzzles and levels requiring logic to beat. Not just a complete shoot-em-up. For the age it is much more enagaging than other games with the same rating.

A very safe gift for your playstation loving youngsters (with engaged parents who aren't letting them play Grand Theft Auto)

That is right! The secret is the DROP IN/DROP OUT CO-OP mode. This way if you are tired from work you can still spend a few minutes with the punk-punks and have a good time. Also if you get addicted to the game and get stuck at a point in the game. Help and more family bonding are a just a yell away!

This is a great game. I recommend it to anyone. I bought it for my 5 year old son and he is in love with it. It is nice to have a game I feel safe with yet catches his interest at the same time. COOL! It is worth more than I paid!

very good my son loves this game he is always playing nonstop. the game its self was in very good condition with very little sign of use needles to say i am very happy with the game.

I dont find this one as good as the lego indiana jones, but a cool game. I am looking forward to getting lego bat man next week.
