The Incredible Hulk - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2006, 4-Disc Set)

This is from the TV Show where Bill Bixby stars as David Banner.

Right from there with the name change of the main character this didn't feel right for me when the TV show came on.

Then it started mimicking as the TV show 'The Fugitive', but just wasn't as interesting as that earlier TV show.

I was an Incredible Hulk comic book reader in the early 1960's and enjoyed his run in the Tales To Astonish comic series.

This is just not that Incredible Hulk.

However there are those that grew up with this TV version of the Hulk, and enjoy it immensely.

This is one of those classic television series which had a good run from 1978 to 1982.

The premise is that research scientist David Banner is accidentally exposed to toxic radiation. Then even the smallest agitation transforms him from man to monster!

Unfortunately the Hulk get very little screen time.

This DVD contains all 10 episodes from the show's first season plus commentary by producer Kenneth Johnson.

I have seen Kenneth Johnson at the SDCC and listened to him and others that were involved with the show. They were very interesting and I could see that they enjoyed their work on the TV show, but this is a DVD for only those that enjoyed the TV show.

O.K. it's not like it is a quality movie, but for those of us who grew up with the original Hulk, it is top rate. My children don't get to watch T.V. so I was excited about this series when it came out. Go figure someone who doesn't want their kids to see the horrible commercials and suggestive shows, but doesn't mind a monster type movie. We love them. So much better than the terrible cartoon like effects of the new movie. Definitely not high tech, but just kind of fun. We look forward to the next show each week.

I like the fact that this DVD television series brings me back to the late seventies when I was still growing up. They don't make television like that anymore, and I really enjoy watching Bill Bixby's acting in the series. The plotlines are decent and there's a real thrill watching David Banner turn into the Incredible Hulk. Lou Ferrigno is one hell of a bodybuilder and he's got the mass and height to live up to the role of the Hulk. I really didn't dislike anything in particular, just wish Bill Bixby didn't have an untimely death from cancer years ago.

I have send mail after mail about this purchase that i never have received. The dvd's were paid for back in October and i do not have them. Seller does not have a tracking number to help me find the package.

i used to watch this show when i was younger and im glad i have the oportunity to relive those moments over again,the dvds are in great condition and the shipping was very fast

I bought the Incredible Hulk Season 1 for my grown-up daughter for Christmas. She grew up watching the show on tv and loved it! She was very surprised and excited on Christmas morning. This seller described the item exactly and it was received in tip top condition.

I had to have this series on dvd because it was my favorite show and character as a child. Bill Bixby as Dr. David Banner and Lou Ferrigno as the Incredible Hulk make a great team traveling the country thwarting crime. The bad guys are no match for David Banner's alter ego and what great satisfaction it is seeing the fear on their faces when the big green guy shows up. With Banner's brains and the Hulk's brawn, there is no stopping them.

i remeber watching this program when i was a child and with the HUGE disappointment of the movie that was released i had to go back to my roots and pray that someone who remembers the early years of this fantastic character will do him justice and make a movie that DOESN'T MAKE HULK ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!

This great. It's so much better than the movie. I will get other seasons. It's happy, and sad. Not to sound sappy, but it's like a love story, and the plots are done well.

I remember watching The Hulk every Friday night when I was a kid. Once in a while my parents would take my sister and myself out for dinner and to the mall on Friday nights and I would plead with my dad to make sure we were home before The Hulk would come on at 8:00. I didn't care if I missed the Dukes of Hazzard which came on before The Hulk, we just had to be home before 8:00. Getting back to the DVD set, I bought it this past Sunday the 23rd and I've been watching it every night since. I finished the final episode of the set last night and I enjoyed the entire DVD set very much. It brought back such great memories of my childhood. I remember planting myself in front of the tv every Friday night to watch my favorite show, the house could have burned down around me and I wouldn't have noticed. If Universal decides to release season 2, I will definitely be buying it as well. Keep your fingers crossed and hopefully they'll release season 2 very soon.
