Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PlayStation 2, 2006)

The graphics on this game are horrible,it's like blowing up the psp version to fit the size t.v. screen you have.Liberty City looks more like a city with gaps missing in the building,streets,sidewalks,etc​.The missions. . wow I can't even tell you how that is.It's way to easy,if you ever followed the GTA series starting with the first one on PS1 it makes this game cake compared to GTA.(the original)Cops are easy to outrun and take out as well.I was seeing how high I can get my wanted level up with out dying and it took forever for all 5 stars to finally pop up.Then I went to go for a chase and see if they could catch me,well that didn't happened I outrunned them with ease.Now the good things about it are the side missions such as car salesman,pizza delivery,and many more.Also the pricing is good as well. . .some stores such as fry's were selling it for $10 which is way better than $20 because I honestly think the game should have just been given to everybody for free.So if you never played the psp version it's worth a try however if you're looking for something different than what the psp version offered,the only thing different you'll get are the horrific graphics on it,or should I say enlarged version of the psp.

Well, Grad Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, is basically the same as GTA III. The ONLY difference is that it happens "3-5 years later, when TONY comes back to Liberty City." This is "the newest game" of Grand Theft Auto, but isnt as "liberated" as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which is why its disappointing. This game would of been "excellent" if it were given the same features "swimming, using helicopters, airplanes, etc.", but since its practically like the 1st, I'd rather not buy it.

It is an awesome, great, cool, neat, enjoyable, exciting, fun, and extremely awesome item. I think it is the best item I have sen in a long time!!!

Product was good I wanted a Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories game and I thought to myself, I will buy it on ebay. I purchased the game and had it sent to my work. Everything turned out fine.

i love this game and i bought it because my last copy was broken and i needed a replacement. i love this game because i want to complete my gta collection for the playstation2 and soon i'll get myself a ps3 so i can play the new gta.

I have loved GTA from the very beggining. It's a shame the graphics are lame & the missions are very easy to complete in this one. I hate to see what the next one will be like. I don't like to give bad scores, but this one needs to be known! The city doesn't even look like a real city & you can't do anything extra. 2/5 stars , save your money, don't buy it.

The game is just like the other versions of GTA, which don't get me wrong, I like. But seeing this is the 4th or so version, I figured the graphics could have advanced.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories fpr the Playstation 2 is a direct port
transfer from the Playstation Portable (PSP) version. The graphics look average
to almost bad. The game was designed for a smaller screen.

To have Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories to look a good as Grand Theft
Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, or Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Rockstar
Games would have to redo all of the graphics from the ground up. With the other
Grand Theft Auto games on the Playstation 2, Rockstar Games would have had to
design Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the Playstation 2.

The game takes place some 10 years after Grand Theft Auto 3. If you know the
city lay out of Grand Theft Auto 3, you need to drive around Grand Theft Auto:
Liberty City Stories to get aquainted lay out of the new areas to see what was
added.

Tony (the guy you play as in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories) is
not the guy you play as in Grand Theft Auto 3. The guy from Grand Theft Auto 3
has no name. Accorting to Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
is not a sequal to Grand Theft Auto 3, it just takes place in Liberty City. As
does Grand Theft Auto 3.

The game is exactly like GTA 3 only by this time the graphics are out dated and the enviroment is oh so familiar. The characters are the same, the missions are nearly the same just with different names and places. Id give it a lower rating but you cant beat the discount price of 19.99 but believe me it shows because all they did was tweek GTA 3 a little bit to get another 20 bucks out of us, rent it but id pass on the buy.

It is exactly like GTA III except has a different lead character. GTA Liberty City Stories is not as good as GTA San Andreas. same quality graphics as in GTA III (which wasn't that good). cant swim in the water (you die if you fall in), only one pay n spray per city, only one safe house per city, easy to outrun police, you can be killed easily (and i mean like 3 bullets and your "wasted"), and most of the missions are pretty easy. there are some pretty neat side missions like "car salesman". i was thinking about buying this game but i read some of the reviews on ebay and i am glad i did. so i rented it to see for myself and im glad i did because i would have wasted $20. so if you like GTA games i would rent this one and not own it unless you want to add it to your collection. its a good game but not worth paying $20 for it unless you really liked (and i mean really liked) GTA III.

i hate the game.it is cheap but it sucks might as well get gta3 because it is the same thing execpt some motorcycles i think this is the worst game rockstar came with so far.

Seller sold me A BROKEN CD!! It was totally scratched and had several cracks in it making it impossible to read from my playstation!!! Lousy seller. Keep away from him!!!!

what made me buy the game was that i have every game for gta and all i needed was this one and vice city stories. you know i like playing the games but i cant play the mission because the game always frezze on me.

I am a loyal gamer. It is rare for a company to come out with a game that really hooks me, but when they do I will literally continue playing that game for years. Take Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It was a great game. You could tell they put a LOT of work into every little detail. Now skip to the present; fall, 2008. I finally decided that I would spare the change in my pocket and pick up the latest two versions of the series, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. What an utter disappointment. I mean, the games are good if you want to revisit the old maps with new characters and and a few additions. But don't expect anything along the lines of San Andreas. The depth that went into that game was not present for the latter two. They were simply re-energized versions of the old games. For $10 I wouldn't complain, but don't expect to be getting a sequel.

I did play it and it is a fun game, but if you are into the GTA games, San Andreas is the best so far.

An ok game, On the same level as GTA Vice City. Not nearly as good as GTA San Andreas. I was surprized that it debuted after San Andreas. Seems like a step back.

After getting hooked to GTA- San Andreas, and not ever being able to beat it, I decided to buy GTA- Liberty City. This game isn't as hard as GTA- San Andreas was for me, but it's addictive.
The language...so far.. is much better (but i have the "hot coffee" edition of San Andreas)
I'm still learning the ropes, but so far, this game is very fun.
Changing Clothes-
This is alot easier in GTA- Liberty City, just hit the left or right button, and you've changed.
Music Options-
There is alot more of a range of music stations on this game..ALOT
Controls-
some of the ways to change things are different in this game compared to san andreas.
City-
Liberty City has alot of similarity to San Andreas "look" wise, as there are some of the same layouts.

If you can get this game for under $20- I would highly recommend buying it and giving it a shot. It is fun, has some challenge, and I'm sure... will get better as I get farther into the game.

CON: you CAN NOT swim in the Liberty City GTA- you will just drown.

i got this game being a fan of the previous games, and it didnt disappoint. i was a mild degrade from san andreas, but it gives u some of the freedoms that u didnt have before in liberty city.Bein able to ride motorcycles and a little better hand to hand system makes this game worth it. i recommend to any gta fan or just a fan to video games.

Real good game for those od ua over 16, but don't buy it if you are not or don't give it as a gift. as it has things in there that are to graphic for those under.

I JUST LOVE THE GAME I REALLY ENJOY IT AND THE FEATURES ARE AWSUM THERE ARE NO DISLIKES OF THIS GAME FRIENDS HAVE IT AND BESIDES I NEED IT FOR MY COLLECTION

i love this game it it one of the best grand theft autos yet, the music is great , the action is great, and the plots and mob twist are awsome, i decided to buy it after seeing the preview for it on tv, and since it had every other one in the collection at the time i wanted to add on to the collection, the only down side for me was the fact that the game was to short while the other gta's are much longer and much more harder this was was finished in no time. but overall still highly highly recommended AAAA++++++
