I received my item in excellent time and in good condition. My e-bay grade would be an A+. I would buy from this seller again.

  Not Great...
Review created: 31/08/09

This guide is ok. It has maps of the world and where cp's are but thats about it... The main let down is that this guide does not have maps of any of the dungeons. If you are looking for this type of information or a more dynamic guide don't buy this book, instead go to a site like hiddenstuff.com or thottbot.com

A must have for people new to WoW, helpful for others.

The WoW strategy guide has a lot of information about the worlds, it doesn't have the maps for the dungeons which is a put off. The Dungeons are located in another Strategy guide that retails for around 25.00. The biggest help it offers is the maps of the worlds and locations of people. This is a must for newbs to WoW, you can actually get a lot of the information online for free but it's still hard to beat having a book next to you to explain it. Unless you have another computer right next to you that you can look to for info.

Helped, but not like i thought it would
Review created: 07/08/06

The only problem i found with this book was it did not have a list of all of the instances you could go into, that is in a different book that you have to pay again to get. Besides that, it was pretty helpful and fun to read.

Useful for absolute beginners, but not for others.
Review created: 06/08/06

I purchased this guide after getting a Paladin up to about level 50, hoping that it would be able to give me some idea of what to expect as the endgame instances came up (Zul Gurub, Molten Core, etc.). Unfortunately, there is nothing of real value in this book for a person who has played a character that long.

That being said, if you're a complete n00b to the world of World of Warcraft, then this book can be extremely useful. It does let you know in general how each class plays, so that you know what sort of fights you'll generally be involved in as your new character improves. This can be a surprise with some classes (like my Paladin, for example). It is also full of useful information about MMORPG's in general, such as how people may expect you to conduct yourself (apparently you should be respectful of others), and warnings about things like ninja looting and corpse camping.

Of course, the biggest downfall of this book is that it is not updated with the patches, so that a lot of important information (such as talent trees) has been completely revamped in the game and is thus totally useless. There is, however, a large amount if information that remains useful to absolute beginners, and as of patch 1.11, the characters all still play largely as they were originally intended. That being said, there are rumors floating around that the Burning Crusade expansion will substantially change the way some classes play (such as, oh I don't know... my Paladin). Be advised.

Happy Hunting!

  world of warcraft guide

this is the manual that needs to come with the software, fortunately it isnt so dated that its useless, has the option for supplements, and of course with the new expansion to the world, will need them...at least it gives you a clue how the mechanics and economy work, as well as the basis to do some useful minmaxing of your toon.
