Cellular (DVD, 2005, Platinum Series)

Great fast pace thriller, with acting from Kim Basinger as Jessica Martin the kidnap Biology teachers who is kidnapped by Ethan (Jason Statham), a vicious criminal who has threatened to murder both her husband and son if he doesn't get what he wants video camera belonging to her husband. Chris Evans character is Ryan (from Fantastic Four) a college student who receives a frantic call from Jessica who manages to put together the phone wires of a smash by Ethan she convince Ryan to help her. Now Ryan is caught up in the plot to rescue threaten family from dirty cops. He dash to school to try and reach Jessica's son. Ryan's cell phone battery running low, he purchase a cell battery at gun point even pay over the amount due. Next move for Ryan is to continues to chase the kidnappers and high jack a car from a obnoxious rude lawyer as he continues to dash after the vehicle with the boy is in. In comes Police Officer who is about ready to retire and never had a reason to use his gun (William H. Macy) until now to save Ryan life and he has pet peeves dirty cops.

If you like suspense full thrilling and Kim/Chis/William or Jason this is amust see. Better than the Phone Booth. Highly recommended

The movie kept me interested at some points in time, but the actors did over dramatize themselves more often than not. Okay okay, so the kidnapped woman really does have a right to be freaking out all the time because she thinks she's going to be killed. I suppose the guy who she calls makes sense as acting like a foolish college boy. The actors were just hard to believe; they came across as if they were people you'd get for a really low budget movie. And the guy acted like someone you'd encounter in a movie for ditzy teenage girls to faint over.

Plus, I just saw this movie a couple weeks ago, and I've already forgotten every single character name. That's pathetic. I can remember names better from the Power Rangers movie that I watched, oh, 10 years ago, more accurately.

But hey, if you're trapped in the house and that's the only movie that you haven't seen in the house, knock yourself out. It's just almost worth it if you have someone to cuddle. Plus popcorn.

This Movie I saw on TV, but missed the first 30 Minutes of, so I purchased it..
William Macy plays a Good cop opening a business on the side (Spa Type) and turns down a offer to work on this task force that is ran by Bad Cops. Kidnapped Girl gets ahold of another guy via Cellular phone, and the suspense and action takes off from there......Well acted, and worth the watch.

This is a great movie. Lots of action and suspense mixed in with humor. It will always keep you guessing at what will happen next.

William H. Macy, Kim Basinger and Chris Evans all give A+ performances.

If you want a good scare, this movie might do the trick for you. Chris Evans and Kim Basinger do a great job. The plot however, gets terribly bogged down. Many 'improbable' things happen, which are intended to increase the scare level, and it succeeds somewhat, but in the ultimate reality, this film bogs down terribly. Too much of the highly dramatic seems very unreal, true to real life happenings. One gets the feeling that they WORE OUT the horror long before the movie's end. I would not see this movie again.

This movie is one of the best movies I've ever seen! It keeps you on the edge of your seat but throws in some comedy at just the right times. It stars Kim Basinger (8 Mile) and Chris Evans (Not Another Teen Movie). This movie is a must see! Loved It!

I think this movie is great and if you like action/thriller movies then this is definately the film for you. Also if you know anything about the actor Chris Evan, then you know that not matter what situation he is in he always add a little humor to it. This movie is great and I think anyone with a sense for action, suspence, drama or even a little bit of comedy or just a thrill will like this movie...!

I absolutely love this movie. I rented it a couple of weeks ago, watched it five times, and then couldn't get it out of my mind. No matter what kind of movie person you are, you will like this. It actually does get your adrenaline pumping. Suspense, drama, comedy, and plus Chris Evans looks so hot! :)

I bought this about 3 weeks ago, I was a little secptical that the movie would be that good, but I knew that jason statham was a great actor. once I watched the movie It blew me away with the none stop auction; always keeping you on your toes wondering whats going to happen next. I felt that maybe the ending should have been played out a little more, but nothing can put into words that this movie rocks! If your thinking about any movie to buy; let it be this one here.

Cellular is a good tense thriller movie. Kim Basinger is good although wears a little thin at times. Chris Evans is a good young actor and gives a credible performance. If this is your type of movie, this is a definite must. It's still a worthwhile popcorn movie.

I like the movie Cellular because it's full of action & had a surprise ending that nobody would expect. I would recommend anyone to watch this movie. I also got my mom a copy and she liked it as well. I was satisfied with the condition and quality of the dvd.

excellent movie,beliveable story line,actors,and plenty of action to keep your attention till the end.if you like action movies you gotta see this one.you won't be disapointed.i bought it because it was worth owning, especially for the price of a rental.

Really well done and acted. Shows how ingenuity can be used to help crime victims save themselves, even when victimized by corrupt police. The good guys have a really hard time, but the real police and the heroes win, after a lot of great action.

I saw this movie on airplane on the way back home. The story was very excite and make saw this film 2 times on that flight. All actors and actress are very great acting.

This is one of those movies {like arlington road} that i think is great that other people say "i've never heard of it", give it a chance and you'll keep it in your DVD library forever.

The Suspense in this movie is better than any other movie. It's suspense is so great that it beats the Bourne Series. Great Addition to any collection. I would show this movie to anyone who came over.

I loved the suspense and the acting that Kim Basinger did. Of course the other male character was kinda lame and his character wasn't fully developed, but the work of Kim and the others was pretty good. They just left the male lead hanging without much thought for him. But I liked the movie overall. I bought it because I had heard ads when it first came out and it sounded interesting.

This is a good movie with a lot of hang on to your seat action. It will have you biting your nails in the suspense of what will happen next. I bought this movie as a gift but I have a copy of it myself. Try it out! If you like action and suspense all in one, this is the movie for you!

This movie is packed with suspense and involves real life mini-crisis all piled into one thrill. Keeps you searching for the resolution right up to the very end.

I loved the whole idea of the movie from beginning to end. the part that caught my attention was when the guys were trying to capture the young guy on the wharf with some fast action from Will Macy as the cop who was acting ditzy throughout the movie.

This movie keeps the viewer interested throughout, good actors make it believable. This is about dirty cops and their rotten web...no more about it...You must watch it...I think it's worth it.
