"Along came Polly" starring Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston, Alec Baldwin, and, in one of the greatest performances I have ever seen by an actor, Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Let me just cut to the chase: This is not a great movie. If you have $$$ to blow and want a couple of good laughs, go ahead. There are worse things to see than this. I found myself getting board whenever there was a scene without Phillip Seymour Hoffman. His character was what kept this film from sinking, his performance so gutsy and over the top, that the main story of Ben Stiller and Jen was overshadowed. I would have like to have Ben and Jen be the support, and have a movie about the Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Alec Balwin characters. These two throw in the kitchen sink with their performances. As I said, no essential, but not totally unworthy of your money.

What more can I say about Along Came Polly. The laughs start immediately! Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston have great on-screen chemistry. I've watched this movie 100 times (and I am not kidding) and it's still funny. A must see!

Silly FunBought this movie for my little brother after we all sat one Sunday afternoon and howled with laughter talking about it. It's a silly fun movie. Ben Stiller plays the overly cautious "Luben" (Ruben) prefectly! Jen Aniston, Debra Messing, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Hank Azaria finish off the totally hilarious cast. With memorable lines and scenes that are sometimes painfully funny, it's definitely one to add to the library!

) The storyline depends almost entirely on slapstick "gutter" humor. Sexual content is rampant. It has no redeeming qualities. I made a mistake in buying it. It is a time waster.

Along went Polly...This movie is a simple romantic comedy and not much more. There are no stellar performances in it; nor is the script stellar. But it is not bad for date night. I bought it to see Jennifer Aniston and was not particularly impressed by her.

Along Came Polly--absolutely fabulousBen Stiller and Jennifer Anniston's best film still! Hilarious Ben Stiller and the story of a bad new marriage and an old girl friend of highschool. Philip C. Hoffman and Alex Baldwin are also fabulous in this movie. The timing of the comments and the true comedic actions of all of these people were superb. I would recommend this movie for anyone. I bought this as a Christmas Gift and it will continue to keep giving us laughs.
