Deception Point by Dan Brown (2002, Paperback)

Dan Brown has done it again with another great story. However, if you've read his other books suck as Angela & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, the style is really quite similar. I was able to predict what was to happen next. I guess it wasn't excellent for me because it was like read Angels & Demons except he filled in the details with different pieces.
However, overall this was a wonderful book, definately worth my time.

This book is a real pageturner, you will find its hard to put it down.

In Deception Point Dan Brown weaves a fascinating story of betrayal, military force, and scientific intrigue.

As his other books this one is also extremely good researched.
The story includes some spectacular action, unexpectes turns, and lots of suspense.
It keeps you wanting to go on and on, to finally learn more about, how the story developes.

Reasons enough for me to strongly reccomend this one. It is one of the best Thrillers i have read.

Was told the book fantastic. Not disappointed at all. In fact, the best edge-of-your-seat action/thriller I've read thus far. Was hard to put down.

Great novel. Couldn't put it down! A must read if you like suspense. The action is nonstop and just when you think you have it figured out you get nailed with a curve ball.

I'm actually in the middle of the book right now and so far, it's really good. It's a different and interesting viewpoint and I'm enjoying it a lot. Can't really say too much since I don't know exactly what's going to happen, but I can tell you that the anticipation is enough to make me want to read it every night. Good story!

If I read this Dan Brown book first I may have loved it. I did read Angels and Demons and The Divinci Code first and his style of conspiracy remains the same. The setting mostly takes place in cold/ice settings and a bit in Washington DC. It is not about religon but a NASA cover up which involes electing the next President. It is a very quick read and exciting at times. A good book yes, but it is not anything close to his other works.

Bottom line, if you are looking for a fun and quick read and like Dan Brown then I would reccommend it.

I will first say that I did buy and read both "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons." I loved them both, which is why I purchased "Deception Point" in the first place.

The opening action scene was a great & exciting start to the book, (similar in general concept to his others). However as Dan Brown then started to develop the characters, I became hugely disappointed. I actually stopped reading the book by page 5, after being so turned off by a few of his male-bashing comments, and then when he set up the political villain to be (surprise, surprise) a Conservative politician...

The rest of the book "may" have been great, if Mr. Brown would just keep politics out of it, everyone could enjoy it.

Very good book. I purchased this novel because of the author and while it is not The Divinci Code it stands on its own. the characters are for the most part believable, I wasn't quite comfortable with the evil father figure, the action flowed in a captivating way that keeps you from putting the book down.
My opinion, buy it you'll like it!

This book is tied in 2nd. place alongside "Digital Fortress" on my Dan Brown favorites list (#1 is Angels & Demons and #4 is Da Vinci Code). I'm LOVING this author! Same thing happened with his other 3 books, I just couldn't put them down once I started reading them!

If you like intelligent books, THIS is the one 4 U! It's filled with twists and turns and will keep you guessing, you won't be able 2 put it down!

This book is also pretty interesting. I've read Dan Brown's 2 other books, De Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, and this one is also worth the time to read.

This is a great book so far. I lost my first copy by leaving it on an airplane, so I had to buy another copy and should finish reading it this week.

Great story!!!

I thought that this was a very good book with a well thought out plot and story line. I enjoyed the goverment espionage involved and the excitment and suspense that left you hanging for more. There was not much i disliked about it it was truly a work of art up there with Dan Browns other book's like Da Vinci Code. I had heard good things about this book and they were all right it is a wonderful book and is for anybody who is looking for a good read.

Note** This story can be a tad dry due to Scientific research and terms put into it......

I personally have not read a novel/book in over 8 years as I often find I could not make the time nor been able to finish a book without falling asleep. That was before I came upon Dan Brown.

He to me is a prolific writer which captures your imagination and his literary style makes it easy to keep your fingers moving/gliding through the pages. I have read all his books and am waiting anxiously for the his next release coming soon. Yes not all his books were of equal standing, but for a writer to do the amount of research he does and variety of topics he covers is staggering.

You cannot go wrong with a Dan Brown book.....while waiting for his next novel I've switched to Greg Iles another great writer.

Really interesting and well written! Over all a very good book, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

I was so pleased to get this book quickly and in perfect condition. The back was not even broken. I bought it because I live in a small town without access to new books to own and because I enjoy Dan Brown enough that I wanted this book to be part of my home library. It was a very good bargain.

Dan Brown at his finest. A real page turner for the mystery fan. Keeps you on the edge with many surprises and twists in direction. Excellent read.

Not the best book by Dan Brown. Plot drags in places and is a little slow. Still a good read for a quiet Sunday.

this book was a fast pace thriller, which can be expected from dan brown. a seemingly impossible scenario made to seem more likely than you would ever have imagined, brown did his homework and it becomes obvious to the reader.

I liked this book, not as much as The DaVinci Code or Angels and Demons, but it was still a pretty decent book.
